Just a few months ago it was an insane challenge, a crazy Utopian idea. The rubber straps were produced by an Italian master. The automatic movement, partially made in France, was Swiss, and the disappearance of the last French dial manufacturer in the year 2000 also meant using Swiss production.
We have concluded an original partnership with Pequignet Horlogerie which provides us a French automatic movement exclusive to Apose based on the “Initial” caliber.
Its technical characteristics and performances are excellent: 65h power reserve, 4Hz frequency (28800 vibrations/h), precision +/- 2s/d, tungsten oscillating weight with bidirectional winding, 21 jewels, stop seconds, thickness 4.2 mm and diameter 28.2 mm.
Inventing solutions is a French passion. Apose has created a unique production process to manufacture its dials. Combining artisans’ talent with very high precision technology, the dial of the nº3-100 collection displays extraordinary finesse.
Longchamp, a very French company, like Apose, offered us a fantastic solution for our straps. Anxious not to waste the offcuts of its superb leathers, Longchamp provides Apose with them and we transform them into straps designed in true French style.
